STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF ZACH BREWER
(March 4, 2024)
We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of one of our own, Zach Brewer. The Arcadia, NC driver has competed on the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic part-time since 2001.
SMART Series Director Chris Williams:
“On behalf of the SMART Modified Tour, we offer our most sincere condolences to Zach’s beloved wife Kimberly, daughter Avery and their family. Our heart goes out to their entire family and everyone in the Modified community. Zach was a true competitor, with a lot of fire and tenacity, but outside of the car, he was very humble and a great family man. We will all miss his wonderful smile and laugh and are appreciative of the times we all spent together at the race track.”
Zach Brewer was 44-years old. Brewer was a multi-time winner in the Modified ranks in a variety of series’. In 13-career starts on the SMART Modified Tour, his best result was a fifth in the 2023 running of the Warrior 100 at Caraway Speedway (NC). Brewer was a three-time winner in the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series and scored his first Bowman Gray Stadium NASCAR Modified division win in May of 2022.
