SEEDING FOR SOUTHERN MODIFIED BRACKET CHALLENGE SET FOR FIELD OF 32

Concord, NC (March 24, 2023) - The history of Modifieds in the southern states is rich in tradition. To kick off a year in which that tradition will be celebrated, Short Track Life has announced a Southern Modified Bracket Challenge of the top drivers of all time (selected by an expert panel). All fans of racing can enter the challenge to be eligible to win prizes.
Today the seedings for the 32-driver bracket of Southern Modifieds’ all-time best have been announced. Top ponder who you are going to pick before the challenge begins, click here for a printable bracket.

The Southern Modified Bracket Challenge, via a fan vote on Twitter (@shorttracklife_), will begin on Monday evening. Round one, which will include a Twitter poll for each contest, will conclude on Wednesday at 5pm.
The winners of round one will compete in the Sweet 16, which will commence on Thursday evening and finish on Friday at midnight leading up to the SMART Modified Tour race on Saturday, April 1 at South Boston Speedway in VA.
The Elite 8 round is scheduled to start on Tuesday, April 4, with the Final Four slated for Thursday, April 5. The championship challenge will consist of a battle during Easter Weekend.
“Modified racing in the south is an important part of the culture of American Motorsports,” said Bob Dillner, Director of Short Track Life and the voice of the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic. “We are capturing all the Modified action in the southern states, from the touring series’ to weekly racing, including all of the fun from Bowman Gray Stadium (NC). We are happy to have the SMART Mods participate with us on this bracket challenge and are looking forward to more announcements in the months ahead to honor southern modified racing even more.”
If you participate in the Southern Modified Bracket Challenge you could be randomly selected to win prizes, including Short Track Life t-shirts and two tickets to the SMART Modified Tour race at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 15.
